ANALOGUE: Fujifilm 400H 35mm

The first time going though 36 exposures of this professional film, I was left rather disappointed. Photographs are grainier than expected, bland, nothing like those seen on Instagram looking pastel and dreamy (because those are on medium format).

 

Having shot more colour negatives, I realise how much detail is packed into each 400H negative. Things look unflattering due to how neutral images are tuned to look. Subjects are sharp and colours are rendered in a muted manner whereby post processing can be done depending to liking.
