ANALOGUE: Don't Shoot Film

MONDAY APRIL 21, 2025

This is when you say don't shoot film. Imagine sending in 10 Pulitzer prize photos and you're told that your roll of film got caught in the C41 machine. I climbed Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko, for those photographs and they turned out looking like some wacky Lomography film shot on a La Sardina camera. Fortunately it wasn't the Road Trip photoshoot otherwise I would be writing to you from jail doing 25 years for homicide.

What can I salvage? Well, they tried scanning the severely curled up film to their best ability and it looks pretty cool as if the cross-process has been done. The lab could have left it in there for a bit longer so they wouldn't look slightly underexposed.

I was offered a replacement roll of Ektar 100 and processing to go with scanning for the misfortune but would I trade my award winning photographs for that? I guess not. Anyways, try to enjoy..
