ANALOGUE: Ilford HP5+ 400 @ 3200 35mm

MONDAY MAY 27, 2019

My experience with HP5+ isn’t quite the same as most people's as things were rather disappointing when my first roll came back. They were clean and not as characterful as the best examples out there. Then again, it could be due to the use of modern lenses.

Having pushed three stops, I absolutely adore the outcome. It’s contrasty to the point where the eyes are quickly drawn subjects that are lit. Rated at 3200, photographs are still of great quality with little grain in the way. Pushing could be a better method of application when it comes to using modern glass.
